Synopsis
This is Jansangotmae Production¡¯s third work following Oh! World of Dreams! (Ohkoomuinara) and The Night Before Strike (Paupjeonya). Although the film was never commercially released in theaters or even released on video, it was shown in all of the major cities in Korea through a tour and people flocked to each and every showing. The storyline is as follows.
Students who were working for a high school newspaper do a special report dealing with the high school experience of the school alumni but are suspended with charges that the report contained impure material. In order to fight for their freedom of speech and to protest the unfair and inhumane educational system of the time, which was only obsessed with sending students to college, the students of the newspaper decide to attend school despite their suspensions. But the school does not let the students into its doors. Even the teachers who side with the students are fired, and those teachers and the students of the school paper stand in the rain in front of the tightly closed gates of the school in despair. Finally, a teacher inside the school who has experienced an awakening opens the gates and greets the students and teachers outside with a warm smile.

Notes
In order to cover the production costs, many of the people involved in the movie went around borrowing money and the director himself was forced to sell his mother¡¯s farmland. Because of a delay in filming, the actors were forced to wear summer clothes during the winter when the temperature was 12 degrees below zero and filmed a scene in the rain for 9 hours. Much passion and hard work went into the movie and it shows the true spirit of independent films.

Jangsangotmae
In July of 1987, at a preview held by the University Film Association at Sung Kyun Kwan University, the production Staff of For the Talent and If the day comes agreed upon collaborating on the production of Oh! The world of Dream and they began producing the film in the summer of 1988. Jangsangotmae was a name that this group of people took just before the subtitles were added to the film. The members of Jangsangotmae who participated in this production were Hong Gi-seon, Nam Hee-sub, Lee Jae-koo, Kong Su-chang, Hong Gi-seon, Lee Eun, Jang Dong-hong, Chang Youn-hyun, Kim Hyeon-chul, Park Dae-young, Oh Cheng-ok, Jeong Yoo-sik, Kang Heon and Cho Ik-hwan. The public prosecutor¡¯s office filed to have the film confiscated and also filed for a search warrant but were denied by the courts. With accusations from the Ministry of Culture, Hong Gi-seon, who was the head of Jangsangotmae, and Yoo In-taek, who was the head of Hanmadang, were both indicted and fined, but their lawyers appealed the decision saying that film law article 12 was unconstitutional.
