| Synopsis |
Jeon-tek, an only son of an indigent farmer's family, squanders his life away with liquor and women. The townspeople wag their fingers at him and his father showers him with harsh words and hard beatings. One night, Jeon-tek steals his father's greatest asset, the family cow, and sells it to go to Seoul. But life in Seoul is not as fancy and exciting as he imagined. Finally he repents his wrongdoings and comes back home to beg for his father's mercy and to turn over a new leaf. |
